Attack on Sky Tree! Tokyo Sky Tree X Attack on Titan Event

For the last month (and until Friday 14!) the Tokyo Sky Tree has been doing a joint collaboration with the series Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin). For those who are not familiar with the series, Attack on Titan is the story of a post-apocalyptic world where humans fight for survival against man-eating giants. For fans of the series, this is a really cool chance to gain a perspective on exactly how massive the titans are! The one that took down the wall (episode 1) is the size of Tokyo Sky Tree! There are two tickets available to get into the Sky Tree, one ticket takes you to floor 350, and the second to floor 450. Floor 450 is where the main event is.

I was really impressed by this event, there were so many little details that made this an exciting experience. Walking through Floor 450 visitors were challenged to find Titans hiding on the floor, there were also special character sketches and a range of goods. Unfortunately as I visited on the 12th, most of the character goods were gone. I still tired my luck at the Gacha machine and managed to get a Mikasa key chain – I love her!

After touring around upstairs we went back down to the collaboration cafe. Unfortunately even the cafe was out of their special event coasters. However I still ordered the soda, which was good fun. I placed Mikasa on the straw and poured soda over the titan cotton candy – ‘defeating’ him. The event was a lot of good fun, and without it I may not have visited the Sky Tree.
